How you cancel depends on where you signed up.
- If you subscribed directly through Alessia: You can cancel or change your subscription via the Profile section of the Alessia app, under Subscription. Our subscriptions are managed via RevenueCat and so you will be redirected to their site to make whatever changes you need. Your access continues until the end of the period you've already paid for.
- If you subscribed through the Apple App Store (iPhone/iPad/Mac): Cancellations are handled by Apple. Manage or cancel in your device's Subscriptions settings — Apple's step-by-step guide is here: support.apple.com/118428
- If you subscribed through Google Play (Android): Cancellations are handled by Google. Manage or cancel under Payments & subscriptions in the Play Store — Google's step-by-step guide is here: support.google.com/googleplay/answer/7018481
If you're not sure which applies, check Profile > Subscription in the Alessia app where your initial payment method will be listed.
How refunds work depends on where you subscribed and when.
- If you subscribed directly through the Alessia website: Under UK and EU statutory rights, you have a 14-day right to cancel and receive a full refund. We don't think this is long enough - so we extended our standard refund period to 30 days. We also know that doctors forget about their unused subscriptions and then realise months later. So if you're outside the 30 day period, and genuinely haven't gained value from Alessia, get in touch. To request a refund, contact us at support@alessiahq.com and we'll help you right away.
- If you subscribed through Apple App Store: Refunds are at the discretion of the Apple App Store. Please contact them directly at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- If you subscribed through Google Play Store: Refunds are at the discretion of the Google Play Store. Please contact them directly at: support.google.com/googleplay/answer/15574897
If you're not sure which applies, check Profile > Subscription in the Alessia app to see your initial payment method.
Yes, from time to time. Alessia runs promotions and referral rewards. The best way to stay up to date is through our email newsletter - you’ll always be the first to know when discounts become available.
Alessia is used by doctors worldwide, so we’ve set up regional pricing to ensure cost isn’t a barrier to building the portfolio you need. Our belief is that every doctor, wherever they are, deserves the chance to record their work, track their progress, and fulfil their potential. Economics shouldn’t stand in the way of good tools.
Super easy. Subscriptions can be upgraded with a few clicks in the Profile section of the app.
There isn’t a permanently free version of Alessia once your trial ends. After 30 days you’ll need a subscription to keep building your portfolio. But your work is never lost - all the data entered up until that point remains securely stored for 90 days and viewable even without a plan. When you’re ready, you can restart with ease.
Free tools are fine for basic counts, but they rarely prepare you for rigorous training reviews or international recognition. Alessia builds your portfolio into a coherent story of responsibility and growth, covering the full breadth of your clinical world. Thoughtful tooling - like tags to group work meaningfully, competencies to anchor evidence to your training scheme, and goals to define what "enough" looks like - makes progress visible and useful. Most free products don't offer this structure or clarity, leaving you to juggle spreadsheets and manual cross-checks.
Alessia provides both individual and institutional subscriptions. You can buy your own plan, or your hospital or training body can sign up on your behalf. With institutional subscriptions, training bodies, hospitals or university programmes can gain faculty-level access to a full programme management platform that enables comprehensive oversight of trainee portfolios.
